About Me

My photo
Jackie Minniti
I was a columnist for The Island Reporter in St. Petersburg, Florida where I wrote a series of articles based on exclusive interviews with some of the state’s best writers. I'm also the author of three novels."Project June Bug" is the story of a young teacher’s efforts to help a student with ADHD. It has received 12 awards, including Premier Book Awards “2009 Book of the Year.” My next two novels are middle grade historicals published by Anaiah Press. "Jacqueline" is based on an experience my dad, a WWII veteran, had while stationed in France shortly after D-day. It received an Eric Hoffer Book Award, a Royal Palm Literary Award, and gold medals from Literary Classics Book Awards and the Military Writers Society of America. "One Small Spark" is a coming of age story set in Boston shortly before the Revolutionary War. It was awarded a silver medal from the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Four of my stories have appeared in "Chicken Soup for the Soul" editions.
